Indy Airport adding three nonstop routes to NYC

Travelers looking to get from Indianapolis to New York City quickly will have new options come January.

The Indianapolis Airport Authority announced Tuesday American Airlines will add three new week day, nonstop flights from Indianapolis to La Guardian Airport beginning Jan. 5, 2016.

The flights will depart from Indianapolis at 7:15 a.m., 11:50 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. Return flights will leave La Guardia at 9:10 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7:55 p.m.

“The strength of our Central Indiana economy positions airlines to offer more options for travelers out of IND and the Indianapolis Airport Authority constantly seeks new choices to meet our customers’ needs,” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the IAA. “Today, along with our partners at American Airlines, we are pleased to announce not one, but multiple new nonstop options for travel to NYC, one of our top business and leisure destinations.”

Airport officials said passengers can currently travel nonstop to 42 destinations.  New nonstop route additions include Boston, San Francisco and Dallas/Ft. Worth.
