INDIANAPOLIS -- Seven tornadoes touched down Wednesday during a violent and sudden outbreak of storms, according to the National Weather Service.
An EF3 was the strongest of the storms, touching down in southern Kokomo with a max wind speed of 152 miles per hour, causing major damage and minor injuries.
An EF2 kicked off the active weather day just after 2:30 p.m. outside of Crawfordsville.
And an EF0 tornado was briefly on the ground in Indianapolis' northeast side, with only minor damage reported.
Another EF0 briefly touched down just north of Peru, which the National Weather Service additionally confirmed Friday.
And the final confirmed tornado of the day, touching down at 7:20 p.m. and traveling approximately a mile, an EF0 was confirmed just south of Kokomo.

A storm survey and eyewitness reports indicated a brief touchdown on
the north side of Peru. Damage to shingles and sheeting of a roof was
noted at a medical center along with downed large tree limbs.
