INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Public Schools police are investigating a potential social media threat made against Christian Park School 82, an east side K-6 elementary school.
In a statement released Sunday night, IPS said the district's police are working with local law enforcement to investigate the threat.
IPS police will have a presence at the school on Monday, the statement said.
Christian Park School 82 principal Paul Wirth said in a post on the school's Facebook page the school will be on limited lockdown Monday, which will include restrictions on who can enter the building.
"Please know we take all threats very seriously and always place the safety and security of our students and staff as our top priority," Wirth said.
IPS did not specify the nature of the threat.
