BLOOMINGTON — Disney has a new CEO, and he is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington.

The company named Bob Chapek as its new CEO after Bob Iger abruptly stepped down Tuesday. Chapek was most recently chairman of Disney's parks, experiences and products business.

Chapek graduated from IU in 1981.

Iger says he wants to focus on the creative side of the business. He will stay with the Walt Disney Company until his contract expires at the end of 2021.
