JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. -- Seven adults and one juvenile were arrested after deputies responded to a party reportedly attended by 200 people.
Johnson County deputies were called just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday to the 7400 block of East 400 South on a noise complaint.
When a deputy arrived in the area, he stopped two teenagers on the side of the road. The teens said they just left a party in the area and were waiting for a ride.
As deputies arrived at the party, multiple people ran towards the back of the property. A man who is renting the property told officers he is glad they came because "it was getting out of hand."
Deputies observed alcohol containers and a bar inside the residence.
Seven adults were arrested on suspicion of possession of alcohol by a minor. One minor was also arrested on suspicion of possession of alcohol of a minor and resisting law enforcement.
Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox says once the adults started to bond out of jail, at least three of them reported items being stolen from the house while they were incarcerated.
