FRANKLIN, Ind. -- A former substitute teacher in Franklin County was arrested for attempting to solicit sex from juveniles on social media and through texts.
The Franklin Police Department was contacted by the New Whiteland Police Department were contacted after investigators found a local Franklin resident was soliciting teens for prostitution over social media.
Mihirbhai Patel, 27, was arrested Monday after revealing himself during the course of the investigation.
Patel was arrested back in 2015 for allegedly paying a teen for sex while working as a substitute teacher at Franklin Community High School. During that case, Patel arranged to meet the teen at a motel for sex in exchange for $150.
Patel is currently facing a felony charge of promoting prostitution.
The incident remains under investigation by the Franklin Police Department and the New Whiteland Police Department.
