Police looking for man who stole catalytic converter

Posted

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The owners of Rees Restoration in Greenwood are looking for the man responsible for cutting the catalytic converter off the company’s box truck.

The catalytic converter will cost about $1,000 to replace, John Bufalari, a project manager for the company said.

Rees Restoration is located on State Road 135, a busy road in Greenwood.

“To see someone try to destroy our neighborhood with petty theft is just ridiculous,” Bufalari said.

This isn’t the first time one of Bufalari’s businesses have been the victim to crime. He said another building he owns had the doors kicked in, twice.

Bufalari says he has noticed an uptick in crime in Greenwood and he isn’t happy about it.

Despite the suspect taking the security cameras, Bufalari hopes someone will be able to recognize the man and tell police.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Greenwood police at 317 346-6336.
