Johnson Memorial Health breaks ground on expansion

FRANKLIN, Ind. -- City and county officials broke ground on a new multi-million dollar medical center in Johnson County.

The project will include a new emergency room and outpatient services center that will replace the original hospital building which has served the community for more than seven decades. 

Johnson Memorial Health is paying for the $42 million expansion hospital is investing $42 million into the project and no local or county taxes will be raised.

The emergency rooms and outpatient center are expected to be complete in 2019.
