JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. -- You might have seen a strange sight if you were driving past a particular farm field in Johnson County Friday.
The Johnson County Sheriff says a plane landed in a snow-covered field north of 400 S and 800 E.
Dispatch was notified in the morning that a plane might be down in the Amity area.
Sheriff Doug Cox says the pilot of the single-engine plane was having a mechanical problem and put the plane down successfully.
The pilot was not hurt and after speaking with police and fire officials was allowed to take back off in his plane.
