WHITELAND — The canine population of Whiteland should feel honored. The Johnson County town's first public park is a bark park.
It opened Tuesday at Whiteland Road (CR 500 North) and Sawmill Road.
In a Facebook posting, the town said it is now accepting applications to use the park. Tags are $20 per-year. Applications and park details can be found here: www.townofwhiteland.com under the information tab. Dogs must be up-to-date on their shots to use the park.
The growing town located between Greenwood and Franklin had no public parks until now, although a couple are in the planning stages.
