Lafayette man faces lengthy prison sentence for murder of his wife

LAFAYETTE—A Lafayette man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering his wife.

According to Tippecanoe County Prosecutor Patrick Harrington, 52-year-old Patrick Elliott was sentenced to 75-years by a Superior Court Judge, Thursday.

His wife, 47-year-old Donita Elliott, was shot to death at the couple's Lafayette home in August of 2017.

A Tippecanoe County jury found Elliott guilty in July.
