MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- The Madison County Commissioners, emergency services and highway department have raised the travel status to ADVISORY for the rural and unincorporated parts of Madison County.
The status means routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas, according to a press release from Madison County Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
The release states law enforcement agencies have responded to numerous slide offs and accidents throughout Madison County including several accidents along I-69.
