MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a second body near the Madison/Grant county line.

The body of a woman was found Tuesday on farmland off SR 37 in Grant County.

The Madison County Sheriff says the victim had been missing since last Wednesday.

The sheriff believes the death is connected to the discovery of a man's body in a wooded area in Madison County on Monday.

The victim was found shortly before 8 a.m. in a heavily wooded area of the nature preserve off Rangeline Road on the east side of Anderson.

The body had potentially been there for several days, according to medical personnel on the scene.

Brittney Vontress, 30, Jordan Zirkle, 30, and Taylor Wheeler, 22, all of Anderson, were arrested Tuesday. They have been preliminarily charged with murder.

The sheriff says the three suspects led detectives to a fourth suspect who has been in jail since last Saturday on another matter.

More information will be released once the victims are identified and family has been notified.
