ANDERSON, Ind. -- Police are searching for whoever shot at several houses in Anderson Sunday night, including one bullet that flew through a baby’s room.
Homeowners say someone fired the shots in the 2800 block of West 12th Street and they went into several homes in the area.
No one was hit by the gunfire, but families say they are shaken by the situation.
"We were just sitting on the couch and I was walking from the kitchen coming back from the kitchen and I started hearing, I thought it was firecrackers at first, and it was just like automatic - just bam bam bam bam - like for what felt like 15 minutes straight,” Morgan Everitt said.
Everitt says one of the bullets went through the wall of the bedroom where her baby was sleeping.
“I hit the ground, we got the baby, and we ran into the bathroom. It was terrifying. It was the craziest thing. I never thought anything like that would happen around here. "
If you have any information about the shootings, you’re asked to contact the Anderson Police Department at 765-648-6775.
