ORESTES — Looking at the photo you might think there were serious injuries from a truck-train crash north of Anderson in Madison County.
The entire side of the truck was ripped open. The Alexandria Fire Department described the rescue operation as "challenging."
According to the fire department, the semi was struck by a train and the trailer of the truck landed on a vehicle with people inside.
Only minor injuries were reported. A number of state and local police and fire departments, along with Madison County Emergency Management responded to the crash.
