MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- Law enforcement officers are investigating a single-car fatal crash Thursday afternoon in Madison County.
Emergency responders were called just after noon to the area of the 5100 block of West County Road 200 North, just northwest of Anderson, on the report of a car that crashed into the tree.
Gordon Richardson, 72, of Anderson, was seen by witnesses driving erratically and crossing the center line before driving off the road and hitting several fence posts and striking the tree head-on.
Richardson was transported to Community Hospital by medics and later died.
