INDIANAPOLIS — A man is dead after a single-car crash early Saturday morning on the east side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 5:45 a.m. to the 10500 block of East 21st Street, near Mitthoeffer Road, on the report of a car in a ditch, IMPD Sgt. Jim Gillespie said in a press release.
When they arrived, a 52-year-old man was found dead inside the car, Gillespie said.
The vehicle appears to have been traveling at a high rate of speed when the car went into a ditch and struck a concrete barrier, according to Gillespie.
The identity of the driver has not been released.
