INDIANAPOLIS — An inmate at Marion County Jail II died Sunday morning after he became unresponsive.
Brandon Thompson, 29, received medical treatment from Core Civic medical staff and Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services, but he was pronounced dead at 11:12 a.m., according to information from Marion County Sheriff's Department public information officer Katie Carlson.
Carlson said Thompson had been in custody since Oct. 17 on charges of possession of narcotics, theft and possession of marijuana.
The Marion County Coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of Thompson's death.
