Person critical after shooting at Lawrence apartment complex

LAWRENCE, Ind. – Police are investigating after a person was shot Saturday evening at an apartment complex in Lawrence.

Lawrence Police Department officers and emergency responders were called around 7:30 p.m. to the Churchill Ranch Apartments, near Pendleton Pike and North Franklin Road, on the report of shots fired.

While they were responding, they received another report of a person shot who was already transported to the hospital by their friends.

Officers later determined the victim was taken to Community Hospital North. The victim was later transported to Eskenazi Hospital. Police said the victim is in critical but stable condition.

At this time, the identity of the victim or any suspects has not been released.
