INDIANAPOLIS — A mother and her child were injured in an apartment fire Sunday afternoon on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
Pike Township firefighters and emergency responders were called around 4 p.m. to the 5700 block of West 43rd Street after receiving multiple calls about an apartment fire.
A young child was transported to Riley Hospital for Children. Their condition is unknown at this time.
The child’s mother was transported to Eskenazi Health Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
Investigators are still working to investigate the cause of the fire.
