GRANT COUNTY — A Marion man was killed in a single-car crash early Saturday morning in rural Grant County.
Indiana State Police troopers and emergency personnel were called around 2:10 a.m. to the area near County Road 450 North and County Road 700 East on the report of a single-car crash, ISP Sgt. Tony Slocum said in a press release.
Investigators believe a 2002 Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by Shad Wayne Hix, 38, was driving in the area of the crash when he went off the south side of the road, over corrected, traveled back across the road, and rolled over, Slocum said. Hix was ejected and later died.
Hix was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Slocum said.
State police are still investigating the crash.
