MONROE COUNTY — A Bloomington man was killed in a single-car crash on Christmas night in Monroe County, according to state police.

Paul Bryan, 63, was driving on State Road 446 when he left the roadway for an unknown reason, went 30 yards down an embankment, and crashed into a tree, Indiana State Police Sgt. Mike Wood said in a press release. Bryan later died.

The crash happened around 8:05 p.m. near South Knightride Road, southeast of Bloomington.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Wood said.
