BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana University chapter of Kappa Sigma has been suspended by its national headquarters, according to officials at the university.
IU spokesman Chuck Carney says Kappa Sigma has had its charter revoked by the fraternity's national headquarters, which cited alcohol, hazing and "other violations" for its decision.
Members of Kappa Sigma have to be out of the frat house by the end of the semester.
The chapter does have the option to appeal the decision by its national headquarters, but it is unclear if they will do so.
