BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Once again, Indiana has not one, but two of the top 25 most beautiful college campuses, according to a new list by Conde Nast Traveler.
The University of Notre Dame and Indiana University - Bloomington are No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.
Conde Nast Traveler praised Notre Dame's golden dome on top of its main building and the Gothic, stained-glass-filled chapel, which is 218 feet high.
The architecture of some of IU's oldest buildings caught Conde Nast Traveler's eye. They were made from locally quarried limestone. The website also mentioned the Jordan River as a reason for the high ranking.
