BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A man was arrested Monday in connection with a deadly stabbing in Bloomington.

Bloomington police were called to the 500 block of W. 6th St. last Friday for a report of a body inside an apartment.

The victim, David Pierce, 64, had been stabbed multiple times according to the autopsy report.

Police said that Jeffrey Hahn, 51, admitted he had been at Pierce's home last Thursday night and that they both had been smoking synthetic marijuana and had gotten into a physical altercation at some point.

Hahn told officers he left the apartment but returned a short time later and stabbed Pierce several times.

Hahn also admitted to detectives that he stole Pierce's cell phone.

He was arrested and charged with murder and theft.
