MONROE COUNTY, Ind. -- After a two-day search crews located the body of a Bloomington man who went missing while swimming at Monroe Reservoir on Friday.
Officials with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources say Anup Thota, 26, was swimming with friends around 7 p.m. when a storm came through and he disappeared under water.
Emergency teams searched the waters for Thota all day Saturday and Sunday, using side-scan sonar and underwater cameras.
Thota's body was recovered in about 15 feet of water near the area he had been swimming around 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
