MARTINSVILLE, Ind. – The annual Morgan County Fair runs through August 4th and it's all about rides, food, concerts and 4-H competitions.
It's also one of the last county fairs in central Indiana leading up to the Indiana State Fair, which begins Friday, August 3.
The Morgan County Fair overs entertainment every night on the Morgan County Free Stage. Some of this year's concerts include Highland Ridge, Eddie VanZant Band, the Golddust Band as well as Terry Lee and Rockaboogie Band.
And what would a county fair be without food?
Sweet corn is grown locally and picked fresh daily. Pizza, tenderloins, pork sandwiches and ice cream are all available in the food area.
You can take a selfie at the Grilled Cheese Booth and win a lemon shakeup.
This year, thanks to improved wireless service, some food vendors will even accept credit or debit cards.
The fair does not charge for admission, but there is a $4 parking fee.
And for those who have trouble walking, there’s a free shuttle service from the parking lot to the gate.
