FISHERS — Changes that aim to ease traffic in a busy area of Hamilton County are finished.
Monday, leaders cut the ribbon on the 96th Street Rehabilitation Project in Fishers. The project includes a new roundabout at 96th and Sargent Road, traffic signal modifications, and more lanes on the Mud Creek Bridge.
"Can't think of a better way to start our work week than to cut the ribbon on a massive thoroughfare here in the city of Fishers that's been congested for many, many years and will no longer be congested moving forward," Mayor Scott Fadness, R-Fishers, said.
Fadness says the project could not have been possible without partnerships with the state, county, and the city of Indianapolis.
