Victim identified in accident involving farm tractor, pickup truck in Hendricks Co.

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. -- One person was killed in an accident involving a farm tractor and a pickup truck in Hendricks County Wednesday afternoon. 

The crash happened on SR 236 near SR 39 around 4:15 p.m.

Captain Amanda Goings with the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department says that the person driving the truck, Cecil Hillers, 75, of Lebanon was killed. 

According to the sheriff's department, Hiller was headed south on SR 39, crossed the center line and hit a tractor head on.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told deputies that the driver of the tractor slowed and tried to move out of the way of the pickup but wasn't able to avoid the collision.

The person driving the farm tractor was not injured.
