INDIANAPOLIS — One person was killed and two people are in critical condition after a crash early Sunday morning on the west side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 1:20 a.m. to the area of West 34th Street and North High School Road on the report of a fatal crash, IMPD Officer Aaron Hamer said in an email. When they arrived, they found two vehicles involved in the crash.
The driver of one of the vehicles involved was killed, Hamer said. They were the only person in the vehicle.
The driver and the passenger in the other vehicle involved were taken to an area hospital in critical condition, Hamer said.
Investigators are working to determine what led to the crash, but are reminding people to use extra caution on the roads when winter weather conditions are present.
At this time, the identities of the people involved have not been released.
