INDIANAPOLIS — One person died and two others were injured in a late-afternoon three-vehicle crash on busy West Washington Street on the Indianapolis west side.
The crash happened in the 6700 block of West Washington, at Sigsbee Street, less than one mile outside Interstate 465.
According to the Wayne Township Fire Department, an unidentified person died in the wreck. The two injured people did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Washington Street. The car in which the person died came to a rest upside down.
Investigators were working to determine what caused the crash.
