INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was killed in a crash Thursday morning on I-70.

The crash happened around 5 a.m., near the Indianapolis International airport.

Upon arrival, officers found 35-year-old Daff Lalhmuakliana of Indianapolis unresponsive inside a heavily damaged 2009 Toyota Camry.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Prelimanary investigation determined the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a large interstate sign post.

Police said the driver was wearing his seat belt and the airbags did deploy. The Marion County Coronor's Office will continue to investigate the cause of death.
