PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- A person was shot in a hotel room Wednesday morning in Plainfield, Indiana.
Police in Plainfield received a report of a person shot in a room at the Budget Inn on Gateway Drive around 10 a.m.
By the time police arrived at the hotel, both the victim and the suspect had left.
Police were later flagged down on Hadley Road, where they found the victim and another person. The suspect ran in another vehicle.
The victim, who has not been identified, was shot in the chest and taken to the hospital.
A description for the suspect has not been provided.
