INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was shot and killed Thursday morning on Indianapolis' west side.

The shooting happened near the 2600 block of Annette Street at around 8:30 a.m.

Police say the man is believed to be in his 30s or early 40s. He was found in an alley by a driver passing by who called police.

Police really need the public's help to find the person responsible, as there were no reports of shots fired in the area.

This is the second fatal shooting in Indianapolis within 12 hours.
