MARTINSVILLE — One person suffered life-threatening injuries in an apartment fire Friday evening in Martinsville.
Martinsville Fire Department firefighters were called just before 5 p.m. to The Pine Apartments, on the city's south side, for an injured person, according to a Facebook post from the fire department. They found a small fire in a downstairs apartment when they arrived.
One person was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital by a medical helicopter with life-threatening injuries, according to the post. Two other people were taken to IU Health Morgan Hospital after inhaling smoke.
The fire is under investigation by the department's fire marshal.
