Police investigate after pedestrian struck and killed by vehicle in Kokomo

KOKOMO — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Monday evening.

According to a report from the Kokomo Police Department, officers were called to the area of State Road 931 and Southdowns Drive around 5:45 p.m. Monday on report of a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.

Witnesses reportedly told police that a man, identified as Timothy Goode, 32, of Kokomo, was seen crossing the highway when he walked out in front of a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Kokomo man. Police said Goode was taken to Community Howard where he was pronounced dead.

Police said drugs and alcohol are not considered contributing factors in the case.
