BROWNSBURG — Two people are dead following an early-afternoon shooting in a residential neighborhood not far from downtown Brownsburg in Hendricks County.
A public information officer with the Brownsburg Police Department said police responded to a report of multiple shots fired on North Grant Street, just after 1:15 p.m.
Police found two people dead in the street in the 300 block of North Grant. Both victims were described only as males.
At an early-evening media briefing, Brownsburg Police Public Information Officer Corporal Chris Nelson stressed there was no threat to the community. Nelson said there had been no arrest in the shooting, but would not comment on whether police are looking for a specific suspect or whether the two dead people shot each other.
Additional information is expected to be released Wednesday.
