Polling locations changed for thousands of Fishers residents

HAMILTON CO. — Thousands of Fishers residents may be surprised to learn they'll be casting future ballots at completely new polling locations starting with the Primary Election on Tuesday, May 7.

Due to security concerns, Hamilton Southeastern Schools asked that all polling locations within school buildings be moved.

Hamilton Southeastern Schools released a statement to RTV6 concerning the security precautions.

The Hamilton County Commissioners have approved thirty new polling locations at neighborhood churches and clubhouses.

Yellow postcards were mailed out on Tuesday to notify 31,000 voters of their new voting location. Most of the changes affect the Delaware and Fall Creek Townships area.

If residents do not receive a yellow card in the mail, they can find their new voting location at on the Indiana Voters website or the Hamilton County website. Voters can also call the Election Office at 317-776-8476.
