INDIANAPOLIS — The public has a chance Monday to weigh in what sort of superintendent the Indianapolis Public Schools should hire.
A meeting is scheduled for 6pm at the Martin Luther King Community Center, 40 West 40th Street.
Former superintendent Dr. Lewis Ferebee has left IPS for the Washington D.C. school system.
A number of groups, including the IPS Community Coalition and the Concerned Clergy, are holding the meeting.
Students, parents, IPS staff and community members are invited to attend.
An IPS student panel and small group discussions will be part of the meeting.
Public input will be sent to school board members.
