GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- The investigation of a racial message found in a park at DePauw University has come to an end, but other incidents are still under investigation.
The public safety department at DePauw University has identified the individuals responsible for a racist message found in the DePauw Nature Park. The suspects are juveniles, so no names will be released.
The incident happened April 16, with the N-word was found spelled in the Nature Park. Since then, there have been four more bias incidents, all still under investigation by the university.
The suspects have been given a no contact order from the university, and the case has been turned over to the Putnam County Prosecutor's Office.
Tim Bookwalter, the Putnam County Prosecutor, said if a crime is found in the report, the suspects would be referred to juvenile court.
The other incidents are all under investigation.
