DePauw University to cut dozens of jobs

GREENCASTLE — The leaders of DePauw University announced they're cutting dozens of jobs at the Greencastle institution on Tuesday.

In a letter addressed to members of the DePauw community, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the University President said they are eliminating 56 full-time administrative and staff positions, with 15 currently vacant. They are also cutting 17 part-time positions, two that are vacant right now.

The university says they need to strategically realign resources while aggressively investing in students, programs and campus.

The letter says that none of the faculty or acadmeic programs will be cut.
