Troopers find 15 pounds of meth after following too closely traffic stop

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. — Two women from Springfield, Ohio, were arrested after a traffic stop on Friday afternoon on drug dealing related charges.

Indiana State Police said a trooper spotted a vehicle around 3 p.m. on Interstate 70 following a vehicle too closely and pulled the vehicle over.

After a police K-9 indicated on the possibility of narcotics being inside, troopers located 15 pounds of what is believed to be methamphetamine in the vehicle, ISP said in a press release.

The methamphetamine, which was vacuumed sealed in 14 plastic bags, has an estimated street value of $30,000, according to ISP.

A 23-year-old woman and 26-year-old woman were both preliminary charged with dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
