Wind believed to cause part of building to collapse in Cloverdale

CLOVERDALE — Wind is believed to have caused damage to two buildings Sunday afternoon in Cloverdale.

Firefighters from the Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department were called just before 1 p.m. to the area of North Main and Market streets on the report of building collapse.

When they arrived, crews found the brick face of two buildings that had collapsed, the fire department said in a press release. No injuries were reported.

The Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by Greencastle Fire Department, Cloverdale Police, Cloverdale Utility Department, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Putnam County Emergency Management, Indiana Department of Transportation, and Putnam County Operation Life.
