Woman arrested after troopers find more than 220 grams of meth in car

PUTNAM COUNTY — An Illinois woman was arrested Friday after Indiana State Police troopers found 221 grams of meth inside of a reported stolen vehicle.

Troopers pulled over the 35-year-old woman for following too closely around 3 p.m. on Friday on Interstate 70, ISP said in a press release.

During a search of the vehicle, troopers found the meth, which has an estimated street value of $4,500, and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen Friday morning in Illinois.

The woman was preliminary charged on the suspicion of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, vehicle theft, and following too close.
