INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Region of the Red Cross is in urgent need of volunteers.
"Our country is facing unprecedented devastation from disasters, and the Red Cross needs volunteers who can be quickly trained and deployed to the affected areas. While responding to Hurricane Laura and the deadly western wildfires, the Red Cross is also mobilizing supplies and volunteers in anticipation of Tropical Storm Sally," a press release from the Red Cross stated.
The pandemic, the hurricane, wildfires, and now Tropical Storm Sally has uprooted many families from their home, and The Red Cross is always there to help.
"The Red Cross is on the ground working tirelessly to provide food, shelter, comfort, and support to people in need, coordinating closely with partners and local officials. Support will be needed for weeks to come," the press release read.
There is an opportunity to volunteer for a two-week deployment, or you can even volunteer from the comfort of your own home. For more information on volunteering, visit redcross.org.
