Remembering Bre: The funeral for IMPD Officer Breann Leath

INDIANAPOLIS — Officer Breann Leath was remembered as a mother, daughter, sister, friend, veteran, officer and hero at her funeral on April 16 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Her funeral began with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Chief Randal Taylor honoring her with an American flag.

Then Orlando Jordan, an IMPD chaplain, prayed.

"Even with tear-stained eyes and heavy hearts, Father we thank you for the life, the love and the legacy of Officer Leath," Jordan said.
