GREENWOOD, Ind. -- You might see some strange things in the sky in Greenwood over the next few weeks.

IPL crews are replacing power lines over Independence Park.

Some of the work is being done by helicopter. Heavy machinery is doing more traditional work on the ground.

The park is closed for about two weeks and, weather permitting, will reopen the weekend of March 19.

You can monitor the progress on theIndependence Park Facebook page or theJohnson County Parks website.
