Riley Hospital for Children is a place where miracles are hoped for every day … but this week, one patient has a slightly different one in mind.
Rachel Lamb and her family were planning on attending musician Taylor Swift's concert in Indianapolis next week as a birthday celebration for her younger sister. But when the 17-year-old got sick, their plans were dashed.
"When I got sick I was told I can't leave, so we decided that we weren't going to go," Lamb said.
Since she can't go to the concert, Lamb came up with the idea to try to convince Swift to visit Riley instead. She started with a poster with a line from one of Swift's songs.

"The kidney disorder that I have, like 1 out of 374,000 kids have it," she said. "So the quote is talking about, if you have something that's different about you, you're lucky. It's not a curse. And you know that's just kind of how I'm looking at it now. I mean, when I first came in here I didn't think I was going to live."
With help from the hospital, Lamb has started using the hashtag #Riley4Taylor. Even the Colts' Pat McAfee picked up on it.
"I didn't think it would spark up so fast, and then all of a sudden like … I was getting my hair washed and I looked down at my phone and I was like, 'Oh, OK,'" Lamb said.
Swift is scheduled to play at Bankers Life Fieldhouse a week from Wednesday.
