INDIANAPOLIS — A stretch of East 34th Street on the northeast side will be closed through Wednesday so a railroad crossing can be repaired after a water main break Sunday.
Citizens Energy crews spent Sunday fixing a 16-inch diameter water main under the railroad tracks in the 5700 block of East 34th Street near North Arlington Avenue.
Citizens Energy spokesman Daniel Considine said East 34th Street between North Lesley Avenue and North Arlington Avenue will be closed until Wednesday while CSX Transportation makes repairs to its railroad crossing.
Repairs to the 77-year-old water main wrapped up Sunday night, Considine said.
