LAWRENCE — One person was killed in a crash Tuesday evening on Pendleton Pike in Lawrence.
Lawrence Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 5:40 p.m. to the 9800 block of Pendleton Pike, near East 56th Street, on the report of a crash, LPD Deputy Chief Gary Woodruff said. When they arrived, they found an SUV and a semi-truck involved in a crash.
One person was killed in the crash, Woodruff said. Their identity has not been released.
The semi-truck driver was not injured, Woodruff said.
Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash, Woodruff said.
All lanes of Pendleton Pike have reopened.
